Reading | SSR Selfie

Today I wrote thing about my book Alex Rider. Alex Rider is Ficition.  Then I wrote a summarise and the retell a text. The next I did was to list three thing that happened in the book. The last one is to list new word that I never knew about, Alex Rider is the best book that I alway read.

Kiwi Sport | Rippa Rugby

L.I. To learn the basics of Rippa Rugby.

For Rippa Rugby we practice throwing and catching the ball to eachother. For the activity we play bullrush. To play you have to pick a person to be in and that person has to kick the rugby ball and if someone catch the ball that person had to run and if that person gets tagged then all the others have to run to the otherside.

For the next activity we got to play Rippa Rugby for our first time. We got to put on a belt and put on the tags. When I played Rippa Rugby for my first time I got a try. How to play is to rip the tag off the person that has the ball. So don't let someone rip your tag off. I love playing Rippa Rugby even if I got tired of running a lot.


Commenting

Today I commented on Viliami blog about his addition and his subtraction. How to make a good comment is to greet them nicely and say if you did same thing as you and alway say something nice when you finished your comment. I really love commenting other peoples work.

KiwiCan| Positive Communication

L.I: To learn Positive Communication.

Today in KiwiCan we learnt about positive communication and it mean to communication nicely to others. For our activity we play flip th cone. To play is to have two teams and you have to flip the cone unside down or flip the right way around.

For the next activity is the fighting showdown where someone say the 1,2,3,4,5. 1 is the punch once and 2 is punching two time, 3 is to kick, 4 is to spin uper-cut and the last one is hadouken and it was G vs S and KouraBeau was really good at that game and he beat my whole group.

KiwiCan is fun and learntful thing.

Addition and Subraction



L.I. To go faster in addition and subtraction.

Today we had to go faster in our addition and subtraction. I got some wrong and some correct and that will help get a better score then 4m 56s. So I have to inprove my math and get 3m and 20s. So I have to go faster at typing numbers and never make incorrect answers.

Maths| 3D shapes

L.I. To create illusion 3D shape.

Today we created a DLO using 3D shapes. So we had to Polyline to create the tiles and colour it black and white and the background grey. Then I added the 3D shape and connect it together and made a cool DLO. You can try make one too.

Descriptive Writing| Writing

L.I. To descriptive using interesting language features.
The "Discriptive Writing" activity is used descriptive language.
The comments funtion is used to desribe any the gathered photos.
There is a list of lanuage feature to help create descriptions.


 The objective of the Descrptive Writing activity is to inprove descrptive langauge abilities.



The Great White Shark| Reading

Today for this activity we were finding facts about something. My partner and I learnt about the great white shark. My partner and I had to pick a slide and work on it.

We find lots of facts for our DLO and the great white shark is arguably the world's largest known extant macropredatory fish. It is really fun lookin up stuff about something that you don't know yet. Look on the DLO for more information about the great white shark.

Maths | Puzzle | Problem-Solving




This week, we did a puzzle-solving activity where we needed to solve and figure out a puzzle (in groups. It was a paper puzzle with multiple random symbols on them. After we managed to solve the puzzle, we had to figure out why each piece went there and the meaning behind the puzzle. After putting the puzzle together and we needed to figure out the meaning. 

The puzzle indicates a ________. Next we had to choose a category and use different kinds of media to make our own ______ using the items relating to our category. Heres an activity for you! Make a copy of it

Task:
Put together the pieces to form a square. Once you put together the puzzle, try and figure out why they go there. Once you figure it out, explain what it is in the comments!

Kiwi Can

L.I. To motivate and participawte in things

For KwiCan this week we learnt about Giving things a go. For our energiser we played  "Get the cone" To play we had get a partner and if the person say the magic word in a sentence we had to grab before the other get it's first. who ever gets the cone the other person had to do a push up.

For the secound activity was called " Poses " where you have to get a partner and face them back to back and if someone say a pose you have to act it out and it was fun and funny at the same time

Print Design Rules

L.I. To build an undrstanding of the Print Designs Rules.

Today we are looking at the area of the print design rules. Then are four areas: Composition, Layout, Colour & Text. Here I will define the areas of the print design rules.


Composition:
Have a balance of pictures and sentences.
Use images that relate to the text.


Layout:
Have margins and align text and images.
Use most of the space.


Colour:
Don't use clashing colours, use a harmonic colour scheme . 
Use contrasting background and foreground colours.


Text:
Keep consistent fontsand sizes.
Make sure the text is legible.

What's My Name Worth



















LI:To find out what my name is worth

This week for math we are doing "What is my name worth?" All the letters in the alphabet is worth a number. T is worth 9, E is worth 2, R is worth , A is worth 1, U is worth , M is worth 8, A is worth , T is worth  and I is worth 3. Then I have to add them all up.  but my number has to be a single digit number so I have to do . Then I have to do 1+1=2 so my name is worth . This math activity was really fun to do. The thing I liked most about this activity was designing my name.

Self Portrait



Today we had to finish our self portrait. We had 2 styles to make our digital self portraits, they were simple shapes or or advance shapes. I chose advance shapes. I got an example on a google slide from Mrs Anderson to help everyone including that's also doing advance shapes. The shapes I used to make my self portrait was: C, delay and a diagonal strip. I used the line tool for the rest of my self portrait. I enjoyed doing this activity but I also found it difficult. 

Positive Relationships

L.I. To make positive relationships

We learned about positive relationships.

We played switch places for the energizer.
We talked about fairness and fairplay.
We played pizza tag to encourage fairness and fairplay.

I was happy that everyone was in the game and playing fairly.

Te Tiriti o Treaty Of Waitangi.


This week we have been learning about the Treaty of Waitangi by accessing different text types
and media.

In groups we needed to firstly access the information and gather the main ideas of Who, What, \
Where, Why and When. We had journal stories, websites, youtube videos and more.

We then had to summarise the information into sentences using key words. Even though we all
picked out different words, the main idea of the treaty are the 3 Ps.


The 3 Ps are Protection, Partnership and Participation. This is what the treaty set out to achieve.

We then had to evaluate our new learnings and think of questions that we want to find more
information on.

Crazy Cricket Chaos

To develop fundamental movements.

We did our first seesion of Cricket with Brian from HPCC.

I did a sesson on throwing a ball at a set of stumps.

We also did an activity where we had to hit 2 balls off the cones as far as we could.

Lastly we did a catching drill withn 2 balls in a big circle.

I was tired at the end from all the running. I need to work on my aiming when throwing.

Martime Museum



























L.I. To study the history of NZ Martime eplorers.

We went to the Martime Museum to find out about the Martime explorers

I saw a lot of boats like Kayaks and Wakas.

I found out that Sir Peter Blake was the best New Zealand Sailor.

I watched a video about the frist explorerw coming to Aotearoa.

I enjoyed learning about thing that I never knew about.

My name is Xavier. I am Samoan. I am in LS1 at Panmure Bridge School. I enjoy traveling
around the world and visiting places and jumping off cliffs.






How to make a Password

L.I To learn how to make a stong password.

How to make a stong password is to mix capital letters and lower case letter, symbol or number and do two random words and add capital letters to the letter that you want to change.

Then you add symbols to any letter you want to change. Like the @ symbol means the letter a and ^ symbol means v.

The final one is to change your letter into numbers like the symbols and it's like 0 is o, 6 is g and that is how to make a stong password.
