On Monday we had a Duffy show. It was about Duffy goes in to the game. Duffy was going to his cousin Sams house. When Duffy got to Sam's house, Sam was playing magic bricks. Then  Then was playing with his grandmothers glasses and danced around and a blue light and Duffy was gone. Then Sam was looking for Duffy. Then Duffy shouted out Sam's name then Sam heard Duffy and got the mic and said Duffy are you in the game and Duffy said yes. Then Sam tried to get Duffy out. But then the builder came and destroy stuff that people build. Then when Duffy built a stair case and the builder destroyed the stair case. Then the device said 33 minute for Duffy to get out or he will stay in the game. Then Duffy found clues and Sam got the glasses and danced and got in the game and helped Duffy. Then when Sam got in the game she had a book in her hand. Then when Duffy and Sam was reading the book they found a way to get out and how to get out was the dumpling dance and they did the dumpling dance and they got out of the game.

Mind Map - S.T.E.A.M

We did a bus stop activity and we had to figure out some words that go with these titles. Then we created a mind map about S.T.E.A.M on lucid chart.

Cheetah

Cheetah

Cheetahs are very fast animals that’s why I like them so much. Cheetahs have really sharp teeth. Cheetahs can run 100 - 120 km/h, but they can get tired in about 3.4 seconds. How cheetahs go fast is they use their claws to grab the ground and jump as far as they can. Cheetahs are carnivores, this means that they eat meat.Cheetahs are my favourite animal, because they can run fast.

Today we did a paragraph about our favourite animal I wrote about a cheetah. We had to make fact about the animal that we love so much.

Apollo 11

At 9:32, July 16 1969 Apollo 11 is a rocket ship that launched to the moon. Neil Armstrong, Buzz Aldrin and Michael Collins went to the moon. Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin walked on the moon for three hours but Michael Collins didn’t get to walk on the moon and they went back to Apollo 11 and went back safely to Earth. NASA is an organisation that looks for new planets.
We practiced our note taking and note making skills to write this paragraph.

Space Art

At the start of the year I drew a picture of a moon and I also drew different tips of circle in the moon. Then I shaded the little circle using my fingers. When my moon was done I used dye to colour the coffee fitters, I used hot and cold colours. Then I used big, small and medium circles to cut out circles from the coffee fitters. When all of that was done my teacher cut out a black covered board paper and then we splashed white paint all over the black covered board paper to make stars. Then we glued all of the circles and the moon on the black covered board paper.

Zoo Recount

Yes! I was excited because my class and the other
class was going to the zoo because the Warehouse
spouse us and Ritchies bus let us come on the bus for free.

At the zoo we saw the red panda and its baby was
sitting on the tree. Then we went to Australia side
and we saw Tasmanian devil, Wallabies and the Macaws.
After that we went to South America side there were Tarantula,
spider monkeys, Golden tamarins, Siamang gibbons and otters.
In New Zealand there were kiwis, tuatara and the eels.

Then we saw lions, zebras, rhinos, giraffas, ostrich,
meerkats and porcupine. After that Hohepa the
person who works at the zoo. Hohepa took us to see the baboons.
Then he took us to the cheetahs and he showed us a cheetahs pelt
and it’s claw. Then we went to two elephant the two elephant we
called Bruma and Anjali. They were inside and throwing bark on
their body because they needed to protect their body from bug
and the sun. Then Hohepa showed us an elephant tusk that was
carved and it was glass so we had to hold it with two hands and then
Hohepa gave us a book that was made out of elephant poo.

Finally we went to see the lions, zebras, giraffes. Then we all meet
up at the playground then my group went to the kids zone and made
a cave.

Even thought we were learning about space the Warehouse
spouse us and I learnt a lot of stuff about cheetahs, elephants
and baboons. I want to go to the zoo again some time.
I was very tired when we were walking a lot of times
but it was fun looking at lots of animals.

For Matariki we had the senior kapa haka doing the haka for us and the ukelele group played songs for us and the junior kapa haka danced for us. Then we watched a video about Mataiki. Then at lunch Whaea Odie bought us sausages for a sausage sizzle and it was yummy. That was the best Matariki celebration is the best.

Trial and Error

Today we did a maths problem and we had to triple the number. We used our three tables to triple the number. The first number we used was nine and we got twenty seven and for the addition we got seventeen and we were ten away. Then we used seven and we got twenty, and for addition was fifteen and we had to go lower. The other number we used was five and we got fifteen for the three times table and thirteen for addition. The last number we used is four and we got twelve for three times table and twelve for addition and that was the answer for the problem.
