Cook.
Cook arrived in NZ in the 1769's. He discovered New Zealand on the Endeavour, which was a boat.
He did this vogage to New Zealand in search for the unknowned Southern Island. Captian James Cook was famous of the most of the pacific.
Kupe is important because he was the first documented person NZ. Cook is important because he mapped NZ and opened it up to the world to access.
